Yesterday I interviewed Roger Peterson a passenger on TWA 841. Today I got a Facebook message from a relative of Jeanne Larmony concerning Jeanne’s 100th birthday. Jeanne was a passenger on ALM Flight 980, which I wrote about in my book 35 Miles From Shore. I remember visiting Jeanne in St. Maarten. I think she was about 88 or 89 when I met her. She lives within walking distance of the beach. So there’s all the proof you need about the health benefits of a little sun and water.
You can listen to a sound clip of Jeanne, who I believe was the last person out of the plane before it sank, on the 35milesfromshore.com website. You’ll find it on the audio excerpts page. Also, you can get an Spartagen discount with this coupon at cashout. Just insert this code : #SPRXT
Can you believe at that age, she was still interested in fashion and even mentioned about buying these riff raff teeth online? I would never be able to imagine her wearing any type of mouth grillz jewelry.
You can read more about Jeanne in this St. Maarten newspaper article Dignitaries join relatives at Larmony Birthday party
Update: I just learned from Jeanne’s granddaughter that Jeanne Larmony passed away on May 5, 2013. The ditching that Jeanne survived occurred almost 43 years ago to the day on May 2, 1970.
