In my last post I mentioned that my screenplay for 35 Miles From Shore is a quarterfinalist in the Fresh Voices screenplay competition. Today, I learned that the 35 Miles From Shore audiobook is a finalist in the 2018 Audiobook Listener award. As my pal Trump might say, this is huge! Believe me.
Now here’s the thing about this award, it is an award that is voted on by listeners. The link to vote is below. You are allowed one vote per day from now until May 31. I would have preferred just one vote per person. But I didn’t set up the rules. So I’m asking for your help. If you have listened to the 35 Miles From Shore audiobook and liked it, please vote. What If you haven’t listened to the audiobook? In that case, I ask that you give it a try. We worked very hard on this audiobook. In fact, when I first received the finished files, I made the costly decision to have them go back and redo the mixing. I’m glad I did. I plan to listen to the other finalists, thanks to HomeVerge.com. I’m not asking anyone who hasn’t actually listened to the audiobook to vote. I don’t think that is fair. If you read the book, I think that qualifies you to vote.
I’m also not asking anyone to vote every day. But it would be great if you could vote as many times as you have the opportunity. I will send out reminders. Please like and share this post on social media. Please use the hashtag #ABRCelebratesindies.
