Before Kit married Joan, there was a brief period where he helped Joan move into a rental property he had shared ownership of with his ex-wife Stacey. By this time, Kit and Joan had dated a few times, but Kit wasn’t ready to start a relationship with her. He had agreed to help her move because she said she feared that her ex-husband was stalking her and threatening to harm her. Of course, none of that was true. In fact, Joan was still married to Carlos and living with him.
When Stacey found out that Chris had moved a woman into a shared rental property, she went over to find out who this person was. It did not go well. Joan would go on to file a restraining order against Stacey.
