While the book has been undergoing several rounds of early readers, I’ve been busy tieing up loose ends. One loose end that I’ve been working on involves the robbery of the Mennonite couple that occurred just five months prior to the Pembroke murders. Amis Yoder and his wife were brutally attacked by someone demanding money. Amis Yoder died from his injuries. Marjorie Yoder was left with severe head injuries. This crime is unsolved.
Joan had a connection to the Yoders. She described them as being like grandparents to her children. She rented a property from them. I came across an interesting short film about the crime that I wanted to share.
