In the post – Was there an eyewitness? – I talked about the possibility that Billy Watkins may have seen the vehicle of the person who murdered Calvin Phillips. I still believe that there is a strong possibility that that is true. At the time, I didn’t know what type of car Joan Harmon drove.
In the series of clips below, there is a little more clarity on that subject. It doesn’t prove anything. It doesn’t prove that Joan was driving this type of vehicle at the time of the murders. It doesn’t prove that the vehicle Billy Watkins saw is the same car that Joan once drove. But it does answer one question. At one time, Joan Harmon drove a maroon Volvo SUV.
The people who really know what happened with the maroon SUV are the two men in the delivery truck. Based on the sloppiness of the police investigation, I’m going to guess that the police never questioned those two men. I would like to hear what they have to say about the SUV. Was the front door of the house open? Did they ever get out of their truck? What is the story about the SUV?
